Becoming like Jesus.

DISCIPLESHIP

“Once we encounter Jesus, our lives change. But spending our lives following Him is how God transforms our hearts, relationships, and communities. Jesus wants to transform our heart to look His - and discipleship is the process by which we become like Him.”

DISCIPLESHIP

BECOMING LIKE JESUS.

Many think of discipleship as relationship - pouring time and investing into those we lead, serve, and love. But discipleship is not something we do to someone, rather, the process in which we become like Jesus.

We are all formed by external sources - family, friends, social media, education, cultural context. We often find these sources unsatisfactory at best, unfulfilling and even detrimental at worst. But, sitting in the Presence of Jesus transforms our hearts to look like His, making us more like Him, burning away the devotion to the fleshly world within us.

We are disciples when we begin to order our lives around His presence.

By demonstrating and actively teaching how we order our lives around His presence, pastors and churches can transform their congregants, communities, and culture, enabling a powerful revival, opening eyes to the desire of the Holy Spirit to see resurgence in the church.
